Junior Baby E-commerce
Full-stack e-commerce with Stripe payments, built for a real children's clothing store.
Overview
Built from scratch during my internship: a complete e-commerce platform integrated with an admin inventory management system. Direct stakeholder collaboration to translate business needs into features — including Stripe checkout, JWT authentication, and a browsing experience that improved the store's online sales.
The Challenge
The main challenge was building a custom inventory management system that synchronized flawlessly with the public storefront, ensuring that out-of-stock items were immediately reflected without performance bottlenecks.
Key Technical Decisions
- Next.js for the storefront to guarantee fast initial page loads and strong SEO for product pages.
- Stripe integration for a secure and frictionless checkout process directly on the platform.
- Redux for complex client-side state management, particularly for the shopping cart and checkout flows.
Results
The platform is fully live in production. It successfully digitized the store's operations, leading to their first online sales and significantly expanding their local reach.
